Jack meets Teddy, Oil, 24x20
Jack is my grandson. My daughter received this huge Teddy bear as a shower gift for Jack. At six months old he is really focusing in on his surroundings. Although this huge bear has been in his room all along he has just discovered it. I wish I knew what went through is mind when he was climbing up on Ted... Pure joy at finding this big, gentle, plush friend.

6 Crows in 5 Panels, Acrylic. 5 3x3 panels
This is my entry in The Oregon Society of Artists July show - Extreme Paintings - extreme in size that is. The show reception is July 8th, 1pm to 4pm.
This is only my second acrylic painting. The under-painting is dark red, the background is metallic gold and the crows are black silhouettes. The price of all 5 panels is $100 or buy each panel separately at $20 each. Hum, is this a diptych plus a triptych? Not sure what 5-fold is called in Greek. Do you?

Celadon Green Vase with Fruit. 9x12
I am taking oil classes from David Riedel now. This is the kick in the pants I need to progress. This is my first painting in his class. I have learned so much in just 2 sessions. Basically, he paints in shapes... lay in the dark shadows in mass first as a large mass then lay in large flat light shapes. David teaches Chiaroscuro. Visit his website and see his wonderful work. www.davidriedelfineart.com I think you will like his work.

New rabbit paintings
I feel like I am finally getting back to a normal life of painting after the Portland Home and Garden show. That show took so much energy. After all we were there 5 days for 9 hours each day and the first day we came early to setup. That was a 12 hour day. That's something this retiree isn't use to. Yikes.
So now I am back to painting rabbits again. These 4 paintings are a commission from a young gentleman who saw my paintings at Beaverton Pet Clinic. Dr. Wilson has kindly let me hang my work in the rabbit exam room.
So, what we have here are paintings of Leo's 4 rabbits: William, a Holland Lop/ Daisy, a Dutch/ Professor, a Californian/ and Olivia, a very black Lionhead.
I'll upload each painting separately so they can be view individually.
